Dina Ahmed Salem graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura, Egypt in 2000. She then joined Misr University for Science and Technology as a demonstrator in the Faculty of Engineering in the same year. She received her Master's in 2012 from the Electronics Department, Faculty of Engineering, and her Ph.D. degree in 2015 from the Biomedical Engineering and Systems Department, Cairo University.

Her research interest is Artificial Intelligence in Medical Applications. She is now an Assistant Professor and the head of the computer and software engineering department – Misr University for Science and Technology. A member of the IEEE organization since Feb. 2023.
